The performances will take place on the 7th & 8th of December in CAMPO nieuwpoort. You should be available on performance dates from 4pm onwards.

WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
In a society where people primarily communicate on the Internet THE COMMON PEOPLE tries to bring people together in a more humane way, one on one, intense, intimate and with physical contact. As a participant you will meet another person for the first time during the performance. Beforehand you will have received a simple script to guide you. The audience is witnessing several of these encounters.
During the workshop you will be prepared for this physical encounter. By means of simple instructions the participants will work on consciousness of the body, performativity and contact improvisation.

INSTALLATION
Next to the performance there will be an installation in which the digital identity of the participants is the focus point. This digital translation of your personality in the installation will form a contrast with the physical encounter on stage. The installation can be visited by the audience on the performance days.

TO PARTICIPATE
Send your name, address, date of birth, telephone number and a picture to marika@campo.nu before the 21st of October. Tell us something more about yourself, and let us know which workshop dates are possible for you.

There’s room for 48 people at most. By the 1st of November, you will know if you can participate or not.
