A WILD RANGE: discover CAMPO's spring program!

Ira Brand, Kim Noble, Maxim Storms, Frankie, Sarah Vanhee, Nathan Ooms and more. New and familiar faces come together this spring in a programme full of emotion, humour and wonder. In short, A WILD RANGE! We open with Vechtstuk ('Fighting Piece'), a stunner from DE HOE. Camping Sunset will also be there (but they only play when it snows) and Frankie will treat you to a premiere and a dernière. All that and much, much more in the spring of 2023 at CAMPO!
CAMPO PRODUCTIONS
Lullaby for Scavengers

At the beginning of February, Lullaby for Scavengers will be performed for the fourth time in Ghent. Selected for Het TheaterFestival 2022, the performance was programmed for no less than nine (!) days in September at London's all-but-sold-out Soho Theatre, earning rave reviews in both The Guardian and The Times. In March and April, Kim also returns to Soho, this time for an even longer run of plays. But first, the British comedian and video artist also passes through Antwerp and Mechelen.

L.I.A.R.
Frankie / CAMPO
The members of Frankie have redefined themselves. They no longer show themselves as a brash 'rattle band' but take a more sophisticated approach, unlike with Laguna Beach (2019). In a self-assembled laboratory - L.I.A.R. - they search for answers like a bunch of serious scientists. A performance that focuses on experimentation and observation, with the necessary apparatus, instruments, installations ánd a duck.

Maxim Storms
Maxim Storms shone years ago in Brother Blue and just last year with Lobke Leirens in Folks&Fools, good for twice sold-out audiences at CAMPO. NUGGETS will be a physical solo in which Storms (de)constructs the individual holding his own in today's we-want-more society on speed. Maxim does this in his (acclaimed) grotesque playing style and with his (distinctive and unique) rhythmic language constructions.

DONKEY
Nathan Ooms
After Bartlebabe and Ambient Theatre Fury, Nathan Ooms returns to our stage this spring, this time with a solo: DONKEY. In DONKEY, we see a figure caught up in undecidability, in a time that is fragmented, marked by distraction and overstimulation. DONKEY becomes addicted to this junk time, completely absorbed in it until DONKEY becomes a caricature of a subject bouncing confusedly back and forth between stress and dissociation.

Benjamin Verdonck
Two viewing boxes in succession on one evening. During this double bill, Benjamin Verdonck takes you, on the one hand, to a magical machine that seems to operate itself in darkness, Waldeinsamkeit. On the other hand, Regenboog ('Rainbow') examines the refraction of light, as the latest newcomer to Verdonck's ever-expanding repertoire of mobile viewing boxes. Two opposites, matched and together an extraordinary pair.
