In Sea of Love, frieda and Theatre Step probe the depths of melancholy. The mermaids, witches and princes they portray get lost in undersea emptiness. Their desire is an abyss. What they want sinks deeper and deeper. How can they avoid disappearing into the bottomless sadness of water?
Theatre Step creates performances centred on people with mental disabilities. KOPERGIETERY has been presenting their work for years and supported the performance Mise en Place (with cie barbarie as artistic partner), which is also touring this season.
Frieda collects the artistic work of theatre-makers/artists Eva Binon, Nikè Moens, Jan Palinckx and Patrick Vervueren. For the first time in ten years, all four will work on a performance together again.
