  • DONKEY - Nathan Ooms

In DONKEY, we see a figure caught in indecisiveness. DONKEY keeps on interrupting himself, lost in a constant back and forth between unfinished gestures. The time in which DONKEY finds himself is fragmented, marked by distraction and overstimulation. Beginning and end chase each other until they become indistinguishable, life is 'on repeat'. DONKEY becomes addicted to this junk time, gets completely absorbed by it until DONKEY becomes a caricature of himself, bouncing confusedly back and forth between stress and dissociation. But, DONKEY gains insight. DONKEY grows up. DONKEY begins to imagine a different life.
