All the forgotten great-aunts, faded uncles and in-laws may come and see the result.
Fratssen theatricalises the joys and embarrassments of the family party and serves the audience a buffet of unspoken feuds and well-meaning motherly love.
However, don't expect classic inheritance discussions or divorce woes. It is the absurdities and seeming banalities that come to the forefront. Lurking underneath are the unspoken values, palpable tensions and grand emotions that every person and family carries.
