Haribo Kimchi & Zero Feet Away selected for het TheaterFestival

Fantastic news! Haribo Kimchi and Zero Feet Away have been selected for the TheaterFestival taking place in Ghent from September 3 to 13. Congratulations to Jaha Koo, Tibau Beirnaert & Laurens Aneca and their teams! Tickets are on sale now on the website of het TheaterFestival.

Jaha Koo continues to gather worldwide success with his hybrid culinary performance Haribo Kimchi. Jaha has just finished a sold-out run at the Kunstenfestivaldesarts and after a summer tour to Hannover, Mulheim aan der Rühr, Lille, Breda and Singapore, the performance will be back in Ghent! Afterwards, Haribo Kimchi will travel to Amsterdam, Espoo, Taipei, Seoul, Prague and Bergen this fall. Next year the performance will be in Roeselare and Waregem.

After a premiere series in Ghent, theatre makers Tibau Beirnaert & Laurens Aneca also managed to captivate audiences in Monty, Malpertuis and at Festival Cement. Zero Feet Away, their performance about the role of hookup apps, “succeeds in presenting complex subjects in an authentic and compelling way. The Neighborhood Jury left the performance feeling inspired and emotionally moved,” sounds the TheaterFestival jury report in praise.

Also at CAMPO during the TheaterFestival: Bruxelles, I Will Make You Mine. Tshimundu created a solo theatre piece that paints the portrait of African migrants who are “legal” but face the Belgian administration. Set in a town hall (Commune), the play offers an intimate glimpse into the invisible baggage of these residents: their frustrations, their hopes and their daily struggles.
