DEEPER & Zero Feet Away this summer at Theater Aan Zee!

On 20 June, DEEPER, the new performance by Gosia Wdowik, will have its world premiere at Theaterformen in Hanover, followed at the end of July by the first three performances in Belgium at Theater aan Zee. Stops in Amsterdam, Marseille, Dublin, Kortrijk and Ghent will follow in the autumn. 

In DEEPER, Gosia Wdowik focuses on gender-based violence in the digital space. Based on interviews with teenagers, she critically examines the ongoing production and reproduction of images of women's bodies in the context of sexuality and violence.

With the help of professional (Jaśmina Polak, Karin Tanghe & Laura Vanborm) and non-professional actors, she brings these testimonies to the stage, opening a dialogue between different generations of women.

Gosia's previous performance, She was a friend of someone else, premiered at Kunstenfestivaldesarts in Brussels in May 2023 and subsequently played all over Europe, from Porto to Espoo. This performance was produced by NOWY TEATR and CAMPO. DEEPER is Gosia's first creation produced entirely by CAMPO.

Last week, we shared the fantastic news that Zero Feet Away has been selected for het TheaterFestival. Now we can announce that Tibau Beirnaert & Laurens Aneca's creation will also be at Theater Aan Zee! No doubt audiences there too will be swept away by the story of a queer shapeshifter finding their way in the modern dating world. There's even more top news, as the show will travel to Roeselare, Kortrijk en Bruges in the autumn.
