Discover EUROPALIA ESPAÑA at CAMPO
25 Sep 25
EUROPALIA celebrates its 30th edition this autumn with a large-scale Spanish art biennial. The festival will also be coming to Ghent, where the public can discover the Spanish artistic scene in a series of dance performances, concerts, film screenings, exhibitions and creations in public spaces. CAMPO will also be presenting a number of events as part of EUROPALIA ESPAÑA.
In One night at the golden bar, Alberto Cortés shows his vulnerability, finding beauty in a cheesy, affected, outdated and queer declaration of love. Ecstasy and romance form the basis of a sung musicality that highlights fragility and affection from a queer perspective. Cortés will perform this on 14 and 15 October in a golden bar, a place that floats between dream and reality.
In Fires, live art company Ça marche exposes the audience to the experience of an untameable fire. Between darkness and ashes, the audience witnesses a transforming landscape, where light, smoke and sound create a visceral choreography. This is not just any fire. This is a state of suspense: beauty and destruction, danger and fascination coexist in the same place. Fires takes place on 6 November in Astridpark, at the Ferdinand Lousbergskaai, and admission is free! Please note: reservations are required.
