Fires
Ça marche
Fires immerses spectators in the experience of an unbridled fire. Amid darkness and ashes, the audience becomes a witness to a transforming landscape, where light, smoke, and sound shape a visceral choreography. This is not just a fire – it is a state of suspension: beauty and destruction, danger and fascination coexist in the same space.
The audience experiences the hypnotic force of fire and its devastating power, confronting the fear and vertigo it awakens. A sensory journey that challenges us to reflect on the fragility and force of nature while inviting us to consider our responsibility in its destruction. How do we observe what fades away? How do we remember it?
Ça marche is a Barcelona-based live arts company founded in 2015. The company develops signature scenic pieces that emerge from a necessary dialogue between theatre, performance art and dance to address our present: its unresolved contradictions, social tensions and poetic detours. Each project revisits the relationship between craftsmanship, technique, ready-made and collective imagination. The work focuses on two main research lines: on the one hand, the complex and often paradoxical construction of representation as a cultural and political frame; on the other, the subversive potential of the non-professional body — its fragility, opacity, and resistance to representation — as a living archive of experience.
