Krapp is the theatre collective of Mats Vandroogenbroeck, Nona Demey Gallagher and Timo Sterckx.
Together, they nurture a fascination for the entanglement of fact and fiction, of science and nonsense, of history and grotesque fantasy. Krapp continuously seeks out these kinds of baroque collisions. The result is substantive camp, historical hoax, critical kitsch.
Krapp is committed to creating new repertoire. They write and perform their own plays, hoping these texts will eventually take on a life of their own.
Krapp created the productions Through The Looking-Glass (and what we found there), with which they won the SABAM Young Playwriting Award at Theater aan Zee in 2019, Weird Tales (2021), and, together with KVS, De Duivels/Les Diables (2023).
